Transportation

Transportation for athletes, coaches, and managers residing outside the Host Region (50 km or more) is funded by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and coordinated by SportNL.

Charter bus itineraries will be distributed within the week prior to the Games. Participants should review their itinerary carefully and bring a copy while travelling. First half participants traveling by bus will depart for the Games August 8th and return August 11th. Second half athletes will depart August 12th and return August 15th.

Participants travelling by air, particularly those travelling from Labrador, may be required to travel on August 7, August 11, August 16, or August 17, 2026 due to airline schedules and travel logistics.

Why Do I Travel With My Team?

Athletes are expected to travel with their team using transportation arranged by SportNL. Traveling together helps ensure participant safety and supervision while allowing teams to arrive together for registration and competition. Participants and families are responsible for transportation to and from their designated departure locations.

Bus Assignments

The 1st Half Transportation Schedule for Saturday, August 8, 2026 is now available.

The 2nd Half Transportation Schedule for Wednesday, August 12, 2026 is now available.

Participants, coaches, managers, and families are encouraged to review the schedule to confirm their anticipated pickup location and departure time. While every effort has been made to finalize transportation arrangements, minor adjustments may still be required. Any changes will be communicated directly to affected teams and reflected on this page.

Please note:

  • Team managers and/or coaches will receive their team’s transportation details directly.
  • Return transportation schedules for August 11 and departure schedules for August 12 will be shared once finalized. The earliest return buses on August 11 are expected to depart Corner Brook at approximately 3:00 PM, with final departure times confirmed during the Games.
